How To Set Up Streamelements Alerts

StreamElements Transmission Setup

If y'all want to manually setup Overlays or edit your existing overlay it'south pretty unproblematic.

When you log in to the StreamElements please navigate to the "My Overlays" on the left side card.

If you lot desire to create a new overlay please click on the "Create Bare Overlay" on the top right side blue button.

Default resolution is 1080px

StreamElements overlays are 1920×1080 but y'all can resize them if needed in the OBS/SLOBS

Requite a proper noun to your overlay and start adding widgets yous need (text, images, videos, etc…)

Add Image

If yous want to add an image, you tin can click the + blue circle on the left side of the area and select STATIC/CUSTOM –> Add Image

You can elevate the image past clicking on the blue outlines and only dragging it.

Or if you have a specific size, click on the "Settings" and add together specific values at that place.

If you want to add a video, y'all can click the + bluish circle on the left side of the surface area and select STATIC/CUSTOM –> Add together Video

Or if you take a specific size, click on the "Settings" and add specific values there.

Add together text and edit font color, size,etc..

If yous desire to add a text, you lot can click the + blue circle on the left side of the area and select STATIC/CUSTOM –> Add Text

StreamElements AlertBox

If you want to manually setup Alertbox you should get familiar offset with the basics.

Click on the "+" circle and navigate to the top of the carte where "Alertbox" and add a new alarm box.

Basic meaning and what each function is:

Alert Message

Contains variables example

{name} for the follower/subscriber proper name{amount} for tip amount of cheer amount

Alert Duration
Duration for your alarm you should adjust this duration in seconds depending on how long are your alerts

Variation setting

Add more variations for your alert dissimilar images, sounds, variation settings

TTS Settings

Arrange setting and choose a vocalization that volition read alarm text

Text Settings

Conform font, size, colour, margins and much more than

Blitheness settings

Accommodate warning and text filibuster and enter/exit animation

Depending on the Platform you streaming on yous will see different types of the alerts

Twitch:

Follower, Subscriber, Resubscriber, Sub Souvenir, Community Gift, Tip, Cheer, Host, Raid

YouTube:

Subscriber, Fellow member/Sponsor, SuperChat, Tip

Facebook:

Fan, Videolike, Follower, Supporter, Share, Stars, Tip

Each alert can have variations, nosotros recommend emulating each alert earlier you start working on it. ( Yous can emulate it by clicking on the bottom bar where it says Emulate, and choosing the alert you desire to emulate)

StreamElements Widgets (Labels)

Setting up Widgets is pretty piece of cake, simply it does requiresome manual adjustments.

If you want to add manually all widgets, we recommend having all settings in the notepad.

Click on the "+" circle push button and motion to Labels, where you need to cull which label you want to accept.

For example, if you want Latest Subscriber you navigate to the Subscribers–>Latest–>Latest Subscriber

Y'all can now edit text by choosing a font, colour, size, positioning, etc…

Remember if y'all want to have the aforementioned settings for other widgets you lot demand to think or type in notepad those values.

Currently, there is no bulk edit available you will demand to edit each widget.

Streamelements Widgets

When you are finished with all edits and testing and you are set up to become live, you tin follow these steps.

Be sure to save your overlay past clicking Save on the bottom left.

On the height left menu click on the icon that represents the link icon.

You tin also click on preview if you want to see how your overlay looks.

Notice that if you are creating an warning box it will exist an empty overlay, you need to click on the emulate to see the warning box alerts.

When you click on it it will copy the link to the overlay,

Open OBS Studio or OBS.Live (if you lot are using SLOBS you might have some issues cause they do not support StreamElements browser sources ever so we tin't say it will work for you 100%)

Click Add , then click Browser and name information technology something like, "Stream Alerts".

Now paste the URL ( Ctrl+v) that y'all got from your overlay.

Adjust the Width, Height, and FPS to your liking, and make sure to bank check,"Shutdown source when non visible".
